In 2016, Team Thai implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 as its ERP Financial solution to digitize inventory management and centralize transactional processes across its group. The implementation targeted inventory visibility and financial traceability to support the companys diverse consumer goods, manufacturing, and distribution businesses headquartered in Kerala, India.
The deployment configured core functional modules for inventory, sales, purchase, finance, manufacturing, and quality control, with warehouse controls and a purchase order authorization workflow to enforce approvals. Forecast functionality and customizable dashboards were used to drive demand and supply planning, while management information system reporting provided on-demand KPIs for business leaders.
Atna Technologies, a Microsoft Gold Certified ERP partner, led the technical implementation and integrated sales with finance using SQL Server Integration Services SSIS to eliminate manual voucher entry. The solution was rolled out first as a pilot model for inventory accuracy and then extended to 50 branches across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka and two manufacturing units, with subsidiaries adopting the same Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform for sales and marketing, purchase, finance, manufacturing, and quality control.
Governance and process changes included enforced PO reauthorization for any change, bin-level restrictions in the warehouse module to uphold quality checks, and automated statutory and consumption reporting to remove manual reconciliation. As a result, Team Thai reports improved data traceability, reduced paper-based work, elimination of manual reconciliations between sales and finance, faster transaction velocity, and reduced operational costs while using Microsoft Dynamics NAV to support inventory management and financial operations.
