In 2017, Sparkle implemented NetCracker BSS/OSS from NEC Corporation to establish a consolidated OSS/BSS platform. NetCracker BSS/OSS was configured to support order to cash workflows and inventory driven provisioning, with module level configuration and automation to align commercial and operational processes.
Integration work tied the NetCracker BSS/OSS implementation to Salesforce CRM for the sales and portal front end and to Oracle Big Data for analytics and reporting, reflecting explicit project scope from the IT transformation program. Governance and delivery were coordinated by Telecom Italia Information Technology TI.IT under the head of the IT transformation project for Sparkle, with Application Development and Management, CRM and Business Portals teams as primary operational owners in Italy.
