Functional capabilities implemented included benefits enrollment and deductions configuration, 401k calculation troubleshooting, commissions processing automation using an LSMW process, and the creation of reconciliation and zero pay reports for post payroll validation.
Integrations were implemented with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and EC Payroll processes, BSI replication and BSI Tax Factory 10.0 synchronization, Ceridian for tax file transfers, bank transfer posting for payroll settlements, and multiple third party vendors via AspireHR copy tool and other integration channels. Operational coverage included close collaboration across HRIS, Benefits and Compensation teams, third party vendors and internal IT, with monitoring of EC to ECPY replication and payroll results replication from ECPY to EC.
Governance and operating model changes included on‑going production support for payroll, managing payroll calendars, Year end payroll activities and legal tax updates, SAP OSS Notes and HRSPs upgrade testing, and a small internal payroll support team led by an onsite lead who managed two internal payroll staff and IT consultants. Process improvements were delivered through new reporting for claims and payroll reconciliation and automation of commissions processing, which reduced manual intervention and reduced errors as reported during the engagement.
