| BasWare | Legacy | Basware AP Automation | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Terex implemented Basware AP Automation as a SaaS invoice processing platform under the AP Automation category. The Basware AP Automation deployment targeted Finance Shared Services and Corporate Accounting functions and established a centralized invoice processing capability supporting global teams in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Basware AP Automation was configured to provide invoice capture, automated matching and workflow orchestration consistent with AP Automation functional patterns. The implementation increased touchless invoice processing from 30 percent to 75 percent and was a core element in reducing staff by approximately 60 percent through higher automation of invoice handling.
The Basware solution was integrated as a common platform with eight ERPs across the estate, and operated alongside other finance SaaS such as BlackLine for account reconciliations and ServiceNow for A/P and A/R query management. Terex also completed an Oracle EBS platform migration project that involved over 60 integrations, testing and coordination, indicating the Basware deployment was executed within a complex, multi-system ERP landscape.
Governance and rollout were driven from a Finance IT organization led by a Director of IT Business Solutions, with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders coordinating configuration, testing and change management. Explicit outcomes recorded by the program include a 40 percent reduction in time spent on reconciliations through centralization and BlackLine, improved supplier and internal query handling via ServiceNow, and measurable increases in touchless invoice throughput following the Basware AP Automation deployment.

| Sterling Talent Solutions | Legacy | Sterling Background Check | BackGround Screening | HCM | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Terex implemented Sterling Background Check for BackGround Screening within its talent acquisition and recruiting function. Sterling Background Check was deployed as the primary screening application to manage new hire background processes including criminal history searches, drug screenings, DOT physical screenings, employment verifications, and reference checks.
Configuration emphasized standardized screening workflows and orchestration, enabling coordinators to schedule and trigger discrete checks per candidate and to consolidate results for hiring manager review. The implementation incorporated I-9 document review and E-Verify submissions alongside background checks, linking onboarding paperwork and first day instructions to screening status.
Operational coverage centered on recruiting and HR teams, with a full time coordinator managing vendor relationships, candidate communications, interview scheduling, travel booking for long distance interviews, and the cadence of screenings. The Sterling Background Check deployment included ongoing updates to the applicant tracking system and HRIS so candidate status and screening results were recorded and available to hiring managers and HR operations.
Governance controls were formalized to ensure screenings, hiring, and selection followed applicable employment laws and regulations, including consent and recordkeeping for verification steps. Workflows established clear handoffs between recruiters, hiring managers, and the screening vendor, centralizing accountability for new hire screening and onboarding activities.
