About the Customer
The AA with over 15 million members from the original 90, it's fair to say they have grown a bit; in fact, they're now the UK's largest motoring organisation, still going strong over a century later. From setting up our first motorbike patrols to piloting 'connected cars', they've got a unique history of embracing new technology and innovations to better serve you.
Scope and Challenges
The AA is leading a proof of concept project to upgrade from ECC6 (EHP5) to S/4 HANA. If the proof of concept is successful, this will form the basis of a business case that will be made for the full upgrade project in 2018.
The AA make the delivery of SAP Ariba (Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle andPerformance, Supplier Risk, Guided Buying and VIM) responsible for a combination of strategic sourcing and supplier/stakeholder relationship management. I currently manage vast varieties of categories, from Insurance to travel, it accounts for £20m spend. The role requires planning alongside stakeholders and directors to implement change within the AA. As part of my role, I ensure to not only negotiate but engage, drive behavior and influence stakeholders, supplier and colleagues.
Outcome and Implications
Have just completed an evaluation of SAP Ariba and will be the technical lead for the implementation of Ariba Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management and Procure to Pay throughout 2018.
