The engagement centered on preparing and consolidating group financial and master data to populate Sage Business Cloud X3 and to establish repeatable inbound data processes for the new ERP Financial platform.
Implementation scope included mapping and understanding the existing Sage 200 SQL database schema and mapping Sage 200 data to the Sage X3 schema as foundational work. The program led a group-wide Data Consolidation project to ensure the existing data set was accurate, clean and complete prior to ingestion into Sage Business Cloud X3, with a focus on financial masters and transactional ledgers consistent with ERP Financial workflows.
Technical execution covered extraction, transformation and loading pipelines built with Microsoft SSIS and SQL to export Sage 200 data in a valid and repeatable format for importing into Sage X3. Parallel development produced Sage X3 import and export scripts to ingest cleansed source files, implementing repeatable, auditable ETL runs and data validation checkpoints aligned to financial import sequences.
Sage X3 development and administration work included table customisations, editing and adding fields, and creating and modifying views to align the application schema with consolidated group reporting and operational requirements. Governance emphasized master data mapping, staged import processes and validation controls to support accounting and consolidation teams during go live and ongoing administration of the Sage Business Cloud X3 ERP Financial environment.
