| Coupa Software | Legacy | Coupa Invoice | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Blackstone implemented Coupa Invoice as its AP Automation platform on the Coupa cloud platform. The deployment focused on finance and procurement operations, supporting accounts payable workflows and global vendor onboarding. Implementation activities included global team training for more than 40 users and creation of Coupa training documentation for over 100 service desk employees.
Coupa Invoice was configured to handle invoice capture and manual invoice re coding, purchase order completion, invoice upload, and payment release workflows. The team completed monthly manual invoice re coding of over 800 invoices through the Coupa cloud platform and managed purchase order matching and invoice routing consistent with AP Automation functional workflows. Vendor onboarding and catalog enablement were part of the configuration, with more than 60 vendor negotiations completed and over 30 vendors researched and onboarded to facilitate purchase order driven invoicing.
Operational coverage spanned finance, procurement, accounts payable, and service desk teams across Blackstones international footprint, including coordination with service management tools where staff were trained on Service Now and Jira for support workflows. Coupa Invoice operated as the central AP Automation engine, aligned with procurement sourcing and vendor management processes for purchase order completion and invoice payment cycles.
Governance work included standardizing vendor onboarding procedures, reviewing vendor contracts and agreements for adherence to firm standards, and creating procurement equipment and vendor standards to align purchasing into Coupa Invoice. Training, documentation, and modeled asset management processes supported the rollout and ongoing operational governance for invoice processing and vendor lifecycle management.

In 2020, Blackstone implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution for hiring workflows. The deployment supported recruiting teams in New York and was applied to candidate screening for roles ranging from Analyst to Vice President within the Finance and Technology sectors.
Sterling Background Check runs were executed as part of a recruiter-driven workflow, with background reports manually verified by recruiting specialists before advancing candidates into a second phase of onboarding. Candidate records were maintained in Workday, recruiters uploaded candidates into Workday and coordinated Sterling Background Check steps alongside onboarding tasks such as collecting vaccination records and issuing welcome letters. Operational coordination included expense reporting activities executed via Concur and tracking candidate vaccination status and onboarding milestones in Excel, and governance relied on manual verification checkpoints and recruiter orchestration across recruiting and onboarding functions.

In 2015, Blackstone implemented VTS Leasing and Asset Management for Lease Management. The firm spent eight months evaluating CRE technology options before selecting VTS Leasing and Asset Management to centralize leasing intake, deal pipeline visibility, and portfolio level asset oversight. The engagement targeted unifying leasing workflows across Blackstone's asset management and leasing teams within its real estate business.
Deployment followed a cloud hosted SaaS model and emphasized standard lease administration, tenant and lease lifecycle management, document management, and rent roll reporting modules common to Lease Management applications. Configuration work included lease abstraction, automated notifications for key lease events, and centralized reporting to support portfolio level visibility. Rollout used phased onboarding and governance controls to standardize lease administration processes and handoffs between leasing, asset management, and portfolio operations.
