In 2025, The Munson Group implemented Instant Financial as an Earned Wage Access solution across its portfolio of Sonic Drive-In and Buffalo Wild Wings franchise locations. The deployment consolidated tipping and paycard vendors by implementing Instant Tips and Instant paycards through payroll partner AllianceHCM, positioning Instant Financial as the primary earned wage access and tip payout mechanism for the organization.
The implementation centered on Instant Tips for electronic tip capture and Instant paycards for instant payout, configured to remove manual cash-tip handling at the store level. Instant Financial was configured to produce instant tip payouts at the point of settlement, and the configuration included vendor consolidation for tipping and paycard issuance to simplify reconciliation and vendor management.
Integration work was executed through AllianceHCM, the payroll partner and SI, which connected Instant Financial flows into payroll processing and check-to-card disbursement. The deployment spanned 33 locations across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, covering store operations, payroll processing, and finance reconciliation workflows.
Governance changes focused on process standardization for tip capture, payout timing, and audit trails, with rollouts coordinated between store managers, payroll teams and AllianceHCM. The Munson Group documented outcomes that included instant tip payouts, reduced cash risk, and improved auditability and operational efficiency as a result of the Instant Financial implementation.
