| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2001 | 2018 |
In 2001 Pella implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform to centralize transactional finance and order workflows and to support large-scale field service activity. The implementation was scoped to support operational volumes in excess of one million calls, 250,000 service trips and 100,000 installations per year, and to provide enterprise financial control across North America for approximately 1500 direct users.
The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation included core financial ledgers and accounts payable and accounts receivable capabilities, combined with order-to-cash and quoting and ordering workflows that were redefined as part of a four year replacement project for Pella’s quoting and ordering system. A team of 10 business analysts managed requirements gathering, authoring of business design documents, and configuration guidance, using established project management methodologies and structured business process improvement techniques such as Kaizen.
Operational rollout and integration activities were organized around branch and field enablement, with coordinated workstreams for Training and Implementation teams to support a branch footprint of more than 70 locations and a targeted user training program for over 4000 users within a 12 month period. The program also included vendor selection and transition governance for offshore support and development, and handover coordination to ensure the new support model became operational on schedule.
Program governance centralized schedule and budgetary control with senior level prioritization, driving more than six major software releases per year through a prioritized backlog aligned to C level strategic direction. Change management was embedded in release planning and business process restructuring, while the project lead retained accountability for milestone delivery, release prioritization and long range strategy for the implementation team.
As project manager and project lead on key streams, responsibilities included ensuring the Oracle E-Business Suite deployment supported the business scale described above, managing the rollout to branches and field personnel, and completing the transition to an offshore support organization smoothly and on schedule. The implementation narrative links Pella Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial capabilities to finance, order management and field service operations, with governance and release discipline driving enterprise adoption.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Pella implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits as part of a broader Oracle Cloud HCM deployment to centralize Benefits Administration and core HR capabilities. The deployment was positioned to simplify the employee lifecycle, reduce manual HR processes, and increase HR agility across the enterprise.
The implementation included Oracle Cloud HCM and adjacent modules such as Oracle Global Human Resources and Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud, with plans to extend into Oracle Benefits Cloud Service and Oracle Payroll Cloud Service and to integrate talent and learning modules. Configuration efforts emphasized reducing customizations, and Pella reported an expected elimination of more than 60 percent of prior customizations, while adopting the Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits user interface to improve productivity and usability for HR staff.
Pella integrated the HCM rollout with existing Oracle cloud solutions and leveraged Deloitte as a systems integration partner to plan and map the new environment, identify customization elimination opportunities, and accelerate delivery. The initial production components were brought online in roughly six months, covering core HR, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and payroll planning, which enabled more time up front for strategic implementation planning.
Governance and process restructuring focused on eliminating manually intensive spreadsheet processes and shifting HR team priorities toward strategic workforce planning and talent management. Reported outcomes included reduced manual work, higher productivity from a simpler user interface, accelerated deployment timelines, and the creation of an integrated Benefits Administration foundation for ongoing HR analytics and talent processes.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Pella implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) to support Field Service Management across its service and manufacturing operations. Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) was deployed as a cloud-hosted Field Service Management platform to orchestrate scheduling and field execution and to unify service workflows across branches.
The implementation centered on core Field Service Management capabilities including scheduling and dispatch, mobile technician workflows, work order processing, service action plans, and parts and inventory handling. Pella also deployed a Full Unit and Parts Reorder Application and service recovery workflows to standardize technician tasks and parts replenishment across service operations.
Integration architecture tied Oracle Field Service Cloud to on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite via a mix of SOAP and RESTful web services to enable real-time calls and synchronous data exchange. Additional integrations included Oracle Service Cloud integration, Vidyo integration for virtual sales appointments, and Eloqua integration for marketing orchestration, with explicit Customer Master data synchronization and Service Recovery event synchronization between systems.
A Technical Architect and Technical Program Manager led design, build, deploy activities and managed migration of various Pella branches to Oracle Cloud OSC and OFSC, overseeing deployments and rollouts from May 2013 through June 2017. Governance focused on ensuring IT support for manufacturing and service organizations, coordinating improvement and tuning of custom Oracle EBS applications, and implementing service action plans to operationalize the Field Service Management platform.
