| SAP | SAP R/3 | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2007 | 2008 |
In 2007, TNT Express implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform, replacing SAP R/3. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment targeted core finance and accounting consolidation to support standardized financial processes across the organization.
The implementation focused on SAP Financials and Controlling capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and cost center reporting consistent with ERP Financial functional expectations. The program included configuration of financial master data, harmonization of the chart of accounts and automation of period end close workflows within SAP ERP ECC 6.0.
The ECC 6.0 landscape was integrated with procurement and reporting systems, specifically SRM 5/7 for supplier and procurement orchestration and SAP BW for financial reporting and analytics, reflecting an end to end SAP-centric architecture. Project documentation also references practitioner knowledge of Oracle Cloud Environments, indicating cross-platform operational awareness though SAP BW and SRM 5/7 were the explicit integrated components.
Governance centered on centralized finance process ownership, consolidated master data governance and controlled change management for financial configurations. The TNT Express implementation of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 established a unified ERP Financial backbone that supported finance, accounting and procurement functions and created a standardized framework for ongoing SAP operations and reporting.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2007 | 2008 |
In 2007, TNT Express implemented SAP HCM (HR) in a Core HR deployment to centralize management of its human resources platforms. The SAP HCM (HR) installation became the primary HR application alongside a Business Warehouse reporting system, a Mitrefinch Time & Attendance system, internal department intranet pages, Datastore Scanning stations, and a Lotus Notes HR Administration workflow system.
Configuration and functional rollout focused on standard Core HR capabilities, including personnel administration, organizational management, time management, and HR reporting. SAP HCM (HR) was configured to align master employee records with Business Warehouse for reporting, and to interface operationally with Mitrefinch for time capture and with Datastore Scanning stations for document intake.
Operationally the implementation covered management of all HR systems and the governance of system changes required by the business, policy, and legislation, with formal development, testing, and implementation processes. Responsibilities explicitly included creation and maintenance of procedures and documentation for the use of all HR systems, and ensuring system users are trained.
Governance was structured around change control and testing cycles to translate policy and legislative requirements into system changes, and workflows were coordinated with the Lotus Notes HR Administration system and intranet pages to maintain HR administration continuity. The deployment emphasized centralized system ownership within HR to maintain consistent operational procedures across the managed HR applications.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Credit Management | Credit Union Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, TNT Express implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Credit Management as part of a global Credit Union Management initiative. The deployment established centralized credit controls and assigned Global Working Capital Management responsibility to a centralized finance function responsible for Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay governance.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Credit Management was configured in concert with a global SAP FSCM rollout, implementing the Credit, Collections, Dispute und Biller Direct modules to standardize receivables management. The program introduced Online-Payment capabilities globally and formalized a global credit vetting contract to standardize credit decisioning across regions. Configuration work covered credit limit management, collections workflow orchestration and dispute resolution processes within SAP FSCM components.
The implementation targeted Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay process chains and established GPO Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay ownership alongside process redesign efforts. Outsourcing for Print & Mail was incorporated into the operational model to separate transactional output services from core SAP operations. Functional coverage extended across finance, credit, collections, billing and treasury teams in TNT Express global operations.
Governance changes included centralizing credit policy enforcement, embedding the global credit vetting contract into operational workflow, and formalizing collections and dispute handling inside SAP FSCM. Process design work redefined order to cash and purchase to pay handoffs and vendor interactions to align with the centralized credit and working capital controls.
The program supported Global Working Capital Management and is reported to have contributed to a Cash Conversion Cycle reduction by 31 days. This outcome was connected to the combined effect of centralized credit enforcement, collections automation and the introduction of global online payment capabilities.
