In 2021, Vinci implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform through an E-cube greenfield deployment initiative. The project concentrated on provisioning a purpose-built SAP S/4 HANA instance for core financial operations, establishing a new application foundation for treasury, accounting, and financial reporting within Vinci.
The SAP S/4 HANA implementation delivered standard ERP Financial functional coverage, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial close orchestration, plus controlling and statutory reporting capabilities. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts rationalization, financial master data modeling and end-to-end record-to-report workflows consistent with ERP Financial best practices.
Architecturally the deployment used SAP HANA as the transactional database platform, with SAP BODS employed for ETL and data migration activities during cutover. The E-cube Project description indicates a greenfield instance approach, with data migration consultancy engagement and on-site data migration execution in Nanterre, Île-de-France, France to populate the SAP S/4 HANA environment and reconcile legacy data into the new financial schema.
Governance and rollout were organized around the E-cube program structure, with a named data migration consultant engaged from April 2022 in a permanent, on-site capacity to manage extraction, transformation and loading and to support go-live validation. In 2018 Vinci implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud to centralize HR analytics for a defined perimeter of 40,000 people internationally.
