Operational integrations were implemented to link Workday Benefits with existing HR systems and external carrier sites, preserving operational procedures described by HR Shared Services. The HR Shared Services team continued to utilize a case management system to track and respond to inquiries, while enrollment and employee data were entered and approved into the HR-Payroll system, and Partners in Care maintained direct carrier site enrollments. The rollout also retained transactional connections with Paypro, Care Connect and SAM for separations and data corrections, and included coordination points with Payroll and Finance for escalations and billing reconciliation. Governance centered on routing and escalation rules to HR Centers of Expertise and Payroll, scripted case management processes for caller triage, and ongoing content stewardship for HRConnect where HR Shared Services recommended updates. Training and new hire orientation workflows were updated to reflect Workday Benefits enrollment steps, and vendor contract management for benefits suppliers remained an HR Shared Services responsibility tied to the new system workflows. The Workday Benefits implementation replaced Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration as the enterprise benefits platform and formalized approval and verification procedures across benefits administration functions.
