In 2020 Wenger Manufacturing implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as part of an ERP Financial initiative led by MCA Connect, with a parallel deployment of Microsoft Customer Engagement CRM to address order and customer workflows. The project was driven by the need to reduce manufacturing time and to provide an intuitive user interface that would improve employee onboarding and retention at Wenger’s rural sites.
The implementation centralized core finance and operations capabilities, including accounts and financial management, inventory and order management, production operations and shop floor data capture, and embedded business intelligence reporting. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured with role based user interfaces and simplified screens to meet the usability objective for shop floor and engineering staff.
Integrations focused on unifying the ERP backbone with the Customer Engagement CRM and with business intelligence tooling to provide consolidated operational and customer insights. The deployment scope covered production, engineering, operations, sales and customer service functions, enabling unified order to cash and production planning workflows across Wenger Manufacturing’s manufacturing lines.
MCA Connect managed the consolidation effort and rollout, which included phased go live staging, targeted user training for rural locations, and redesigned governance for production scheduling and operational analytics. Once the environment stabilized the consolidated system halved production time, delivered higher customer satisfaction and production efficiencies, and provided business intelligence insight that Wenger Manufacturing expects will enable $3 to 6 million in additional profit going forward.
