Configuration work emphasized web job posting templates, standardized candidate communications, and automated routing of applicants through defined review and interview stages, with recruiter and hiring manager role configurations.
WHSmith integrates Infinite BrassRing into its public careers experience to capture and manage applicants directly from the corporate website, creating a live portal-to-ATS flow for vacancy exposure and application submission. In 2017 WHSmith deployed Aptos Point of Sale across more than 900 stores in Europe. The rollout targeted WHSmith Travel locations and High Street outlets and was undertaken to increase productivity and customer engagement in stores.
Aptos Point of Sale was configured to support core Point Of Sale functions including sales transaction processing, payment acceptance, inventory lookup and customer engagement workflows, consistent with standard retail POS capabilities. Configuration emphasized in-store productivity features and real-time transaction processing to support high-traffic travel locations.
The commercial agreement with Aptos included a dedicated contract and service management team, help desk call handling and incident management to maximize store availability. Support services were structured to enable openings of new locations and to sustain ongoing retail operations across sites.
Operational ownership centered on store operations and IT infrastructure, with governance focused on centralized service management and incident escalation workflows to protect uptime in both Travel and High Street channels. The Aptos Point of Sale implementation therefore unified application-level configuration, vendor-managed support operations and store-level retail workflows to support WHSmith's expansion and in-store engagement objectives.
