In 2023, Wielton implemented SAP S/4 HANA as the digital core of a group-wide business transformation under the RISE with SAP model. The initiative targets the Wielton Group, one of Europe’s largest semi-trailer and trailer manufacturers, and will be rolled out successively across multiple companies in the Group. The program emphasizes cloud-based digitization to support production resilience, personalized products and improved supply chain responsiveness.
The SAP S/4 HANA deployment is classified in the ERP Financial category and is provisioned as SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system, private edition, serving as the primary enterprise resource planning backbone. Configuration focus includes core ERP financials and management reporting, production planning and shop floor data capture, warehouse logistics and sales order orchestration, complemented by analytics and real-time operational reporting. Implementations will leverage industry benchmarks and dedicated digitization tools for the automotive sector to align master data, bills of materials and production KPIs with sector standards.
Operational coverage explicitly includes the Group factories, notably the Wieluń plant which employs about 2,000 people, and will extend to commercial, production and supply chain functions across the corporate structure. The program centers on providing employees access to real-time information and analytics to deliver detailed insights into production performance and to improve decision-making across the production value chain. The implementation narrative emphasizes cloud-based data consolidation and analytics instrumentation rather than specifying named third party integrations.
Governance and rollout follow a phased RISE with SAP model with successive activation of cloud services across group entities and alignment to automotive industry benchmarks. Company leadership stated the cloud portfolio will free up valuable time for staff, increase process efficiency and ensure a higher level of business security while streamlining production processes, improving warehouse logistics, raising customer service levels and optimizing financial and management reporting. SAP S/4 HANA is positioned as the digital foundation for Wielton’s growth and operational resilience.

In 2019 Wielton implemented QAD Enterprise Asset Management to establish an enterprise-level maintenance and asset governance capability. QAD Enterprise Asset Management was deployed as the company solution for Enterprise Asset Management, aligning maintenance planning and asset lifecycle control with manufacturing operations.
The implementation focused on core EAM capabilities typical for the category, including an asset master registry, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order management, spare parts and inventory control, and mobile technician workflows for shop floor execution. Configuration emphasized standardized asset hierarchies and maintenance calendars, with the QAD Enterprise Asset Management application configured to support condition-based alerts and scheduled maintenance orchestration.
Operationally the deployment was oriented to plant maintenance and shop floor operations in the Wieluń area, reflecting product management activity in that site. The EAM implementation operated alongside existing systems observed in Wielton product management workflows, specifically QAD, BeOne, and CRM Pivotal, enabling record reconciliation and cross-system visibility without asserting bespoke integrations.
Governance and process changes included formalizing product life cycle management inputs into maintenance planning and establishing internal training routines noted by product management roles. Change activities emphasized updating maintenance SOPs and embedding asset data stewardship within operations and product teams to sustain the new Enterprise Asset Management practice.
