In 2017, WINconnect deployed the BTB CINDY billing system as part of a vendor-hosted enablement stack to support bundled connectivity offerings sold to its energy customer base across Australia. The deployment placed BTB CINDY billing system at the center of subscription monetization for on-sold broadband services, aligning billing operations with the companys utility billing and customer account records.
The implementation focused on Subscription and Recurring Billing capabilities, using the BTB CINDY billing system for subscription lifecycle management, recurring charge orchestration, invoicing and collections. Configuration work centered on recurring charge schedules, invoice generation templates and automated collections workflows, with standard subscription billing constructs such as account-level charge consolidation, proration handling and billing cycle management.
Operational integration concentrated on service provisioning and order-to-cash flows within the BTB enablement platform, enabling bundled connectivity provisioning alongside existing utility services. The billing instance supported customer-facing functions across finance, billing operations and customer service, consolidating connectivity charges with energy invoices and enabling single-bill scenarios for WINconnect customers at a national level.
Governance and process changes emphasized centralized billing operations and standardized invoice and collections rules within the BTB CINDY billing system, with operational ownership residing in WINconnects billing and finance teams. The implementation preserved the vendor-managed billing layer while embedding subscription and recurring billing controls into WINconnects existing customer care and revenue processes.
