In 2019, YMCA NSW implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR system. The program began with a structured assessment to understand current human resources processes, capture business requirements, and define future needs across the HR function.
Implementation work for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central concentrated on Core HR configuration and employee lifecycle workflows consistent with a central HRIS deployment. Activities included business process mapping across the HR team, end to end testing of new HRIS functionality, and building and uploading master and transactional content in the HRIS by working directly with Recruitment, Payroll, Learning and Development, and HR Business Partners.
Operational design incorporated coordination with the IT team to establish a service desk and hyper care model to support post go live operations, and defined processes for monitoring and resolving system related issues. The implementation covered HR operational workflows for recruitment intake, payroll data flows, learning content administration, and HR business partner case management.
Governance for the rollout emphasized cross functional process ownership, test execution, and a coordinated handover to support teams. Responsibility for system support, content stewardship, and post implementation issue resolution was assigned across HR, IT, and the business units involved in recruitment, payroll, and learning and development.
