In 2021, Broadridge Financial Solutions deployed APRO Invoice Automation as part of a broader AP Invoice Automation initiative that ran alongside a procurement migration to Oracle Financials Cloud while accounts receivable and general ledger remained on Oracle E Business Suite. The deployment was positioned to address invoice capture, supplier data migration, and end to end procure to pay workflows within a dual ERP footprint, and APRO Invoice Automation was referenced alongside Electronic Payments, Automatic Cash Application and Bank Reconciliation capabilities in the program documentation.
APRO Invoice Automation was configured to handle invoice ingestion, automated matching and exception routing, approval workflow orchestration, and supplier master synchronization, reflecting standard functional modules for AP Invoice Automation. The implementation included automated testing and a data migration strategy for supplier, asset and project data moving into the cloud procurement instance, with configuration work to ensure chart of accounts alignment for future GL migration.
Integrations were executed with Oracle Financials Cloud procurement components and with on premise Oracle E Business Suite for accounts receivable and general ledger, and the program connected treasury and payment rails across 17 countries. The APRO solution was used to instrument electronic payments, automated cash application and bank reconciliation processes, leveraging bank statement automation and bank connectivity patterns that had been described by the implementation leads.
Governance emphasized keeping E Business Suite as the accounting book of record while preparing the chart of accounts for a future GL consolidation, and rollout sequencing was completed for 17 countries within the described eight month timeline. The project documentation highlighted lessons learned around data migration, automated testing, and handling dual accounting entry streams when two systems generate accounting records.
