In 2020 Navim Group implemented Autodesk iPart within its Computer-Aided Design (CAD) environment to standardize parametric component families used by engineering. The deployment anchored CAD-led component definition as a central technique for both 3D modeling and 2D drawing workflows across the companys manufacturing product lines.
Autodesk iPart was configured to deliver parametric modeling of standard components, while Autodesk iAssembly templates were used for repeatable assembly constructs. Modeling and design automation was implemented using iLogic programming to generate rule-driven instances of both standard and job-specific components, and property mapping was established to support consistent metadata across parts and drawings.
Navim Group integrated Autodesk iPart workstreams with an Autodesk Vault PDM system to centralize design and data management. A migration moved codification and standardized design workflows from local environments into company-wide shared repositories, with file structure organization, lifecycle definitions, and user access control applied across engineering departments.
Governance and operational ownership were formalized when a PDM Administrator began full-time administration and maintenance of the Autodesk Vault PDM system on June 1, 2021, serving as Global Head of administration for Vault. Processes emphasized standardized component definitions, lifecycle enforcement, and controlled release workflows to institutionalize CAD-driven codification and configuration management.
