In 2023 King Living implemented Boyum Beas Manufacturing as a Manufacturing ERP component of a broader program to strengthen manufacturing capability and financial reporting. The engagement was coordinated alongside Boyum IT Solutions as the vendor and Combined Management Consultants providing program management, CIO mentoring and strategic direction for the multiworkstream program.
The implementation scope included the design and deployment of BEAS manufacturing functionality targeted at China and Thailand manufacturing operations, with a completed rollout at the Thailand production facility and an implementation in progress at the Gold Lion production facility in China. Functional workstreams delivered alongside Boyum Beas Manufacturing included master data review and remediation focused on manufacturing items and BOMs, scope and design of manufacturing workflows, and portal enhancements for operational access.
Integrations and system coverage were executed within an existing SAP B1 for HANA environment, retaining integrations with Boyum tooling, Crystal Reports, Concur and TM1 where applicable, and adding 3PL vendor EDI for logistics connectivity. Financial consolidation and reporting, trial balance and ad hoc analysis reporting capabilities were included as parallel streams to ensure operational and financial alignment with manufacturing data.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical workstreams, with establishment of a PMO and steering committee, and formalized demand, development and release management for software updates. Combined Management Consultants continued to provide program management and CIO mentoring to embed Master Data Management practices and restructure finance and reporting processes to better suit the business.
The program delivered a set of defined workstreams including BEAS manufacturing scope and implementations, master data remediation, PMO formation and production EDI integration, and CMC continues to provide ongoing program oversight. King Living, Boyum Beas Manufacturing, Manufacturing ERP and the finance and manufacturing functions are now operationally aligned under the new governance and release processes as part of the approved program workstreams.
