In 2019, Swiftmile integrated CalAmp Telematics Cloud into its solar powered micro mobility parking and charging stations. The CalAmp Telematics Cloud implementation captured device telemetry, station health signals and trip telemetry from electric scooters and electric bikes to support city and operator planning and operational decision making. This US based deployment focused on streaming device, station and trip data to a centralized cloud service to enable planning workflows.
The implementation configured CalAmp Telematics Cloud to ingest continuous telemetry from station controllers and onboard modems, centralize asset location and device state, and surface station health and trip level event data. Functional capabilities implemented aligned with Fleet Management patterns, including asset tracking, station health monitoring, and trip telemetry ingestion for visualization and operational analysis. Data flows were organized for centralized ingestion and operational querying within the CalAmp Telematics Cloud environment.
Integration work embedded CalAmp telematics services directly into Swiftmile hardware to create end to end telemetry pipelines from vehicles and stations into cloud services.
