In 2018, Asure Software completed purchase of HRnext's integrated HR source code and brought HRnext in-house as part of its HCM and Workforce Management platform in the United States. Prior to the acquisition Asure had been reselling HRnext, and the transaction transferred software ownership and development rights to Asure to embed the application into its product portfolio.

Integrations centered on Asure's existing HCM and time and labor modules, reflecting the press release statement that HRnext had been used as part of Asure's platform prior to the source code purchase. Governance was structured around centralized administration and standardized configuration templates for service providers, with delegated administrative controls to enable provider-level management of client records and pay cycles. The deployment positioned HRnext as the Workforce Management backbone for Execupay's service delivery, supporting HRIS driven workflows, payroll orchestration, time collection, and benefits coordination across the provider network.
