Fletcher Distribution New Zealand | Distribution | 2100 | $750M | New Zealand | iPayroll | iPayroll | Payroll | 2012 | n/a |
In 2012, Fletcher Distribution New Zealand implemented iPayroll as its core Payroll application. The deployment migrated payroll processing away from MYOB Exo Payroll for the Auckland branch and established iPayroll as the consolidated payroll platform across its manufacturing and distribution operations.
The program managed the payroll conversion for the Auckland branch and then implemented iPayroll for the other eight manufacturing plants across New Zealand's North and South Island, covering more than 400 staff on wages and salary. Operational scope included payroll processing, HR records, accounts payable, accounts receivable touchpoints and management reporting workflows.
The implementation configured functional capabilities in iPayroll such as wages and salary calculation, leave and time accruals, HR data management, payroll posting for finance, and management reporting. The project integrated ADI Time & Attendance as the timekeeping system of record, providing verified time data into iPayroll to support accurate payroll runs across all nine sites.
Governance and rollout were executed in a phased sequence with the Auckland conversion as the initial cutover, then standardized payroll processes, controls and templates applied to each subsequent plant during rollout. Managing the conversion from MYOB Exo Payroll and establishing ADI Time & Attendance as the authoritative time feed was recorded as a key achievement for Payroll and HR.

Configuration work focused on core payroll processing, employee record management, pay run orchestration and statutory payroll reporting, supplemented by employee self-service and time capture capabilities consistent with contemporary Payroll platforms. Implementation activities emphasized role-based access for clinic administrators and alignment of pay runs to clinician schedules and billing cycles.
Operationally iPayroll was used alongside internal systems including Elmo and Yammer, and tied into clinic-level banking and accounting workflows managed by clinic administration. Governance and rollout were coordinated at the clinic administration level, with administrators documenting new protocols and supporting staff adoption during a company transition that introduced new systems and procedures.

Functional workflows included processing of terminations, promotions, transfers, exemptions, leave and pay adjustments, as well as handling union pay, uniform deductions and manual calculations, while the payroll team managed pay queries and compiled management reports.
The iPayroll deployment operated alongside a broader HR and financial ecosystem that included Key Pay, Action HRM, CW1, Atradius and SAP Concur, and it supported closer coordination with Accounts Receivable and Credit Control activities.
