Mirabaud Group | Banking and Financial Services | 700 | $351M | Switzerland | Thema Consulting | MasterFinance | Risk Management | 2013 | n/a |
In 2013 Mirabaud Group integrated the MasterFinance application from Thema Consulting as a Risk Management application within its investment banking stack. The implementation was executed alongside the Mirabaud Polaris core banking program and explicitly supported trading and regulatory reporting workflows tied to the Temenos T24 migration.
MasterFinance was configured to serve as the enterprise risk solution, with workstreams focused on risk data aggregation, valuation and regulatory reporting interfaces that are typical of Risk Management platforms. The project included domain ownership of the Security Master File via the Temenos TDS application, and a concentrated five person integration team worked on configuration, testing and deployment of MasterFinance components.
Integrations were implemented directly with the firms trading and market connectivity layer, reflecting existing links to Electronic Stock Exchange Fidessa, Bloomberg EMSX, TSOX and TradingScreen, as well as internal order management activity. The deployment bridged core banking, front office trading systems and the security master, positioning MasterFinance as the central risk data and reporting engine across Switzerland and abroad where Mirabaud operates.
Governance and operational ownership were formalized through role based stewardship, with business analyst responsibility for trading and regulatory reporting, a domain manager for the Security Master File and technical lead support for core banking interfaces. The program emphasized structured testing, phased deployment and ongoing user support and maintenance, with integration and support tasks explicitly tracked by the internal IT and business analyst team.

Syz Group | Banking and Financial Services | 246 | $76M | Switzerland | Thema Consulting | MasterFinance | Risk Management | 2015 | Avaloq Sourcing |
In 2015, Syz Group implemented MasterFinance to support front office trading, treasury and FX risk management, with the go live announced in May 2015. The implementation positioned MasterFinance as a Risk Management platform across Syz Group operations in Switzerland, deployed to consolidate front office risk workflows and treasury controls across multiple legal entities.
The MasterFinance deployment covered front office trading modules, treasury processing and FX risk management capabilities, and was configured to support position keeping and consolidated risk reporting workflows consistent with a Risk Management application. Configuration work focused on instrument coverage, trade capture, valuation feeds and operational reconciliation necessary for front office and treasury use cases.
The program was delivered as part of a wider transformation alongside Avaloq, with Avaloq Sourcing listed as the SI VAR and B-Source named as the IT and business process outsourcing partner in the announcement. Integrations were organized within that program structure to align MasterFinance with banking operations, trade processing and shared services across Syz Group multi company Swiss operations, supporting front office, treasury and risk teams.
Program governance combined Syz Group business stakeholders with Avaloq and B-Source partners, operating under a joint project delivery model for implementation and post go live support. The implementation narrative emphasizes MasterFinance as the Risk Management application instrumenting front office trading, treasury and FX risk workflows across the bank.
