In 2015, Goodman Fielder implemented O2C Pro Webcollect as part of an AP Automation initiative to rationalize a decentralized finance footprint. The finance function was distributed across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific, SAP served as the primary ERP platform, and multiple disparate systems and tools were noted as fragmenting critical business processes. Goodman Fielder implemented O2C Pro Webcollect to centralize and standardize accounts payable operations while aligning accounts receivable and payroll as part of the broader finance program.
O2C Pro Webcollect was configured to deliver standard AP Automation capabilities, including electronic invoice capture, automated invoice matching and validation, workflow driven approvals and exception management, and supplier communications to reduce manual touchpoints. The implementation emphasized orchestration of invoice lifecycles and rule based approvals to enforce consistent processing, reconciliation and routing across regional finance teams.
Capgemini served as the systems integrator in 2016 to lead the transformation and integrate O2C Pro Webcollect with Goodman Fielder’s SAP ERP for master data synchronization and financial posting. The deployment targeted a shared services operating model across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific and covered accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll as the first phase of the finance transformation.
Governance was shifted toward centralized shared services with standardized workflows and agile ways of working to support scale as Goodman Fielder entered new markets. Bernard Carbone, Head of Shared Services, described outcomes including lower operating costs, adoption of more agile ways of working and a more efficient finance organization as results of the Capgemini led transformation.
