Cameron County Government 1000 $100M United States UKG UKG iSeries Central Suite (ex Kronos iSeries Central Suite) Workforce Management 2014 n/a In 2014, Cameron County deployed UKG iSeries Central Suite (ex Kronos iSeries Central Suite) to replace manual paper timesheets and introduce centralized timekeeping across county operations. The UKG iSeries Central Suite (ex Kronos iSeries Central Suite) implementation is a Workforce Management deployment covering nearly 100 departments and 1,800 employees that provides countywide visibility into hours worked, accruals, and comp time liabilities. The implementation used modular capabilities of the suite, including Workforce iSeries Timekeeper for verified in and out punches and automated accrual calculations, Workforce iSeries Absence Manager for tracking attendance patterns and enforcing absence policies, and Kronos InTouch terminals for biometric identity verification and employee self service at the clock. Configurations enforced a single, consistent set of comp time rules across departments, automated real time accrual balance calculations, and provided on demand reporting to identify approaching overtime and attendance trends. Operational integration routed captured time directly into the county payroll system to eliminate manual rekeying, and the solution instrumented time clocks for both hourly and salaried exempt employees to create a unified time source. The rollout covered department terminals and manager self service workflows countywide, delivering a persistent record of comp time balances and accrual liabilities accessible to department heads and auditors. Governance changes included central enforcement of comp time policies and a shift from departmental notepads to system-based approvals, improving consistency in application of rules. As a result of the automated Workforce Management deployment, Cameron County gained an accurate, auditable record of employee work time, streamlined payroll processing with reduced data entry, improved control of overtime, and easier access to accrual and comp time balances for managers and state auditors, a capability highlighted by Data System Auditor Hendrick Quellhorst who observed the solution shows if an employee has time off accrued for vacation rather than relying on department notepads.
