Microchip Technology Manufacturing 22300 $7.6B United States Netstock Netstock Demand Works Smoothie Demand Forecasting and Planning 2015 n/a In 2015, Microchip Technology implemented Netstock Demand Works Smoothie for Demand Forecasting and Planning. The deployment was centered on the Supply Chain Planning Team at the Lawrence MA site and was coordinated more widely through Microchip's Systems Operations Planning Group to align business unit marketing and sales forecasts with production control activities. Netstock Demand Works Smoothie was configured to maintain customer demand profiles, generate statistical and consensus demand forecasts, and drive the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process. Core functional capabilities included SIOP orchestration, forecast analysis and executive scorecards, inventory target setting, and the provision of build requirements for production and material planning. The implementation integrated Netstock Demand Works Smoothie with Microsoft AX for transactional master data and order information, and planning workflows included review of MRP output with the wider ERP used as the planning backbone. Operational scope covered coordination with BU Marketing and Sales, procurement teams, internal and external manufacturing partners, new product ramp teams, and site planners at Lawrence. Governance and process changes were embedded in the Supply Chain Planning Team reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, with defined SIOP cadence, management meetings, operational reviews, cross training to cover staffing continuity, and inventory management controls. The system supported formalized scorecard reporting and continuous improvement activities within production control and supply chain planning.
