CSR Limited Manufacturing 2800 $1.7B Australia SAP SAP S/4 HANA EWM Warehouse Management 2017 n/a In 2017, CSR Limited implemented SAP S/4 HANA EWM for Warehouse Management to standardize warehouse and distribution processes within its manufacturing operations. The EWM program was designed with an implementation partner and progressed into a testing phase under functional leadership from CSR SAP teams. The implementation delivered a configured SAP S/4 HANA EWM solution that encompassed core warehouse management workflows, including inbound processing, outbound order orchestration, warehouse task and resource management, and goods movement controls. Solution design artifacts and functional specifications were produced to capture objects impacted across CSR SAP modules and to guide configuration and automation of warehouse processes. Integration work included complex interfaces with CSR SAP ECC and SAP S/4 TM, with explicit Idoc based integration developed for material master synchronization. Master data harmonization leveraged SAP CVI and DRF patterns established during concurrent SAP S/4 TM work, and carrier collaboration was addressed through Logistics Business Network BN4L integration for CSR transport hub operations. End to end system testing used qTest Tricentis for SIT and supported UAT and automated test script development. Operational coverage extended into cross functional SAP modules, with ongoing BAU support across MM, SD, LE, WM and PS and rollouts to new business units and sites. Governance centered on solution design documentation, functional specifications and coordinated integration testing, with the project recorded as being in the testing phase at the time of reporting.
CSR Limited Manufacturing 2800 $1.7B Australia SAP SAP S/4 HANA Transportation Management Transportation Management 2017 n/a In 2017, CSR Limited implemented SAP S/4 HANA Transportation Management to consolidate transportation planning and execution within its enterprise SAP landscape. The implementation targeted Transportation Management processes and was positioned alongside complementary SAP modules supporting logistics and materials management across CSR business units including Bradford, Solar and Energy Solutions, and PGH Bricks. The deployment included configuration of SAP S/4 HANA Transportation Management and close integration work to link warehouse and returns capabilities. The project scope incorporated SAP Extended Warehouse Management integration work, Advanced Returns Management implementation for specific sites, and Projects System configuration for brick manufacturing operations. Functional workstreams produced solution design documents and detailed functional specifications for objects impacted in core SAP systems. Integration design and data replication were central to the architecture, with customer vendor integration CVI and Data Replication Framework used for master data harmonization and migration. Idoc based interfaces were developed for material master synchronization, and Logistics Business Network BN4L integration was used to manage carrier collaboration with CSR transport hub. End to end testing was executed using SIT and UAT practices, with test management via qTest and support for automated test script development. Governance focused on formalized solution documentation, end to end SIT testing governance, UAT facilitation, and ongoing BAU support across SAP MM, SD, LE, WM and PS modules. The S/4 HANA Transportation Management workstream reached Go Live status for the transportation module, while the EWM integration work progressed into testing. Rollout activities included rollouts to new business units and support pack upgrade processes to maintain operational continuity.
