Wickes | Retail | 8000 | $1.6B | United Kingdom | SD Worx | SD Worx Accurat HCM | Core HR | 2017 | n/a | In 2017 Wickes implemented SD Worx Accurat HCM as its Core HR platform during the Wickes DIY demerger from Travis Perkins Group. The implementation was executed within an HR workstream focused on applications functionality discovery, process modelling and requirements gathering to establish a standalone HRIS and payroll operating model for the newly separated business. The SD Worx Accurat HCM deployment covered core HRIS capabilities including personnel data management, organizational structure, position management, and payroll interfacing, aligned to the Core HR category. The program included a payroll managed service provided by SD Worx and parallel specifications for complementary modules and external applications such as the Kallidus learning management system, applicant tracking systems Avature and Attrax, ProTime time and attendance, Adviser Plus for employee relations case management, Qlik for business intelligence, ServiceNow for service management, and Amazon Connect for telephony. Integrations were scoped and defined between SD Worx Accurat HCM and each named application to support downstream processes, for example payroll file exchange with the SD Worx managed payroll service, learning data exchange with Kallidus, candidate and recruitment workflows with Avature and Attrax, time capture synchronization with ProTime, ER case records with Adviser Plus, reporting feeds into Qlik, and incident and service workflows into ServiceNow with telephony linkage through Amazon Connect. Operational coverage targeted HR, payroll, learning and talent acquisition functions, with systems workstreams coordinated across corporate HR and transactional service teams. Governance was structured around process modelling outputs and documented requirements, with cross functional sign off during the demerger to define ownership for interfaces, data flows and service management handoffs. The HR workstream emphasized business process mapping, configuration standards for SD Worx Accurat HCM, and the establishment of integration requirements and service level arrangements for the payroll managed service and supporting applications. A separate property and health and safety workstream ran concurrently, performing applications functionality discovery and requirements gathering to allow property management responsibilities to be contracted out to Savills Commercial Property Management, preserving the separation of property and H and S systems from the Core HR program while aligning operational requirements. | |
