Harris Ranch Consumer Packaged Goods 1000 $600M United States Infor Infor Supply Chain Planning Supply Chain Management 2012 n/a In 2012 Harris Ranch implemented Infor Supply Chain Planning within its Supply Chain Management environment to centralize planning for its beef production and distribution operations. The deployment was positioned to consolidate planning workflows and align demand signals with production schedules across processing plants and distribution channels. Infor Supply Chain Planning was adopted as the enterprise planning application to provide a single planning backbone for the organization. The implementation emphasized category-aligned capabilities, including demand planning and statistical forecasting, inventory optimization and replenishment planning, production scheduling and master production scheduling, and scenario-based supply planning. Configuration work focused on building planning horizons, bill of material awareness for production runs, rules-based safety stock and replenishment policies, and planning hierarchies that reflect carcass yield and batch production constraints. The Infor Supply Chain Planning application was configured to support iterative plan generation and exception-based workflows for planners. Integrations were established with Harris Ranch operational systems to operationalize plans, integrating planning outputs into procurement and warehouse fulfillment processes and into plant scheduling routines. The project connected planning outputs to downstream order fulfillment and purchasing workflows to ensure production plans drove material requisitions and distribution allocation. Operational coverage included production planning, procurement, inventory management, and distribution planning teams. Governance and rollout centered on a centralized planning team responsible for model stewardship, cadence planning, and exceptions management, supported by defined handoffs between planning and operations. The rollout approach used phased adoption across production operations with process standardization for production scheduling and purchasing approvals. Training and governance emphasized role-based access, plan approval workflows, and regular plan review cycles to embed the planning application into day-to-day supply chain operations.
