Tornionlaakson Sahkoverkko Utilities 32 $11M Finland Tietoevry Tietoevry Network Information System Utilities Distribution Management 2025 n/a In 2025, Tornionlaakson Sähkoverkko implemented Tietoevry Network Information System as its new network information platform. The deployment is a cloud delivered, web browser operated solution aligned to Utilities Distribution Management and designed for time and location independent access. The Tietoevry Network Information System is used to manage the entire electricity network from general planning through construction and maintenance, and it supports reporting network assets to the Energy Authority. The solution exposes a role based user interface that enables user right specific usage by internal teams and by external partners such as outsourced network construction companies. Operational coverage includes Tornionlaakson Sähkoverkko’s network that secures supply to nearly 17,000 users across five municipalities along the Tornio River and encompasses almost 4,000 kilometres of distribution network including 110 kV segments. The implementation was announced alongside Koillis-Lapin Sähkö, which will use the same cloud NIS to manage its approximately 3,700 kilometres of network in Kemijärvi, Salla, Savukoski and Pelkosenniemi, indicating a regional Northern Finland rollout model. Governance and rollout emphasize role based access controls and partner collaboration to support planning, construction and maintenance workflows, with both customers invited to participate in ongoing NIS development. Customers explicitly stated the new web based Network Information System improves the efficiency and quality of asset management, and Tietoevry has committed to long term cooperation to evolve the NIS to meet operational needs.
