The deployment ran on IBM IntelliStation M Pro workstations and was supported by IBM and Dassault Systèmes through a Virtual Development Environment, enabling collaboration with extended supplier networks and engineering teams. Lockheed Martin established an implementation schedule, training and IT plans, and risk mitigation measures to govern rollout and supplier enablement, with education and training provided for product related functions. Governance emphasized cross functional collaboration between product development, manufacturing engineering, and supplier management to embed manufacturing knowledge earlier in the lifecycle. The program communications note explicit benefits from the DELMIA deployment including improved design cycle efficiencies, enhanced confidence in designs through embedded manufacturing knowledge, long term supplier and IT compatibility, and enterprise level cost and efficiency opportunities.
