Rio Tinto Oil, Gas and Chemicals 60000 $53.7B United Kingdom London Stock Exchange Group LSEG Refinitiv FXall FX and Currency Management 2010 n/a In 2010, Rio Tinto implemented LSEG Refinitiv FXall to strengthen FX and Currency Management for its corporate treasury and cash management functions. The program assessed and implemented FXall alongside Bloomberg, SWIFT and Fides bank connectivity and focused on integrating these treasury applications into the group treasury architecture. LSEG Refinitiv FXall was configured to provide live FX execution, electronic order routing, trade capture and position management consistent with FX and Currency Management capabilities. Configuration work emphasized multi-venue liquidity access, execution workflows, trade audit trails and trade lifecycle orchestration through the enterprise treasury management system. Integrations were explicit, with Bloomberg supplying market data feeds, SWIFT and Fides providing bank connectivity, and the treasury management system tied to SAP ERP for financial postings, cash position and settlement reconciliation. Integration patterns prioritized straight-through-processing from FXall trade capture through treasury booking to SAP financial entries, with standardized messaging and secure bank channels to unify trade, settlement and cash data flows. The implementation restructured operational workflows across the corporate treasury, centralizing FX execution, trade authorization and settlement interfaces. Governance formalized handoffs between front office execution in LSEG Refinitiv FXall, mid office trade validation in the treasury system, and back office settlement and accounting in SAP, with data mapping, reconciliation rules and exception handling defined to support cross-system processing.
