Lockheed Martin | Aerospace and Defense | 121000 | $71.0B | United States | iBASET | iBASEt Solumina MES | Manufacturing Execution System | 2016 | DXC Technology | In 2016, Lockheed Martin implemented iBASEt Solumina MES. The Manufacturing Execution System deployment was executed with DXC Technology as the system integrator and centered on shop floor execution, work order control, quality management, and material traceability. The iBASEt Solumina MES configuration emphasized modules for work order and operations execution, operator work instructions, inspection and nonconformance handling, and material genealogy and lot traceability. The implementation was aligned with production planning and scheduling capabilities to support master scheduling and line dispatching, and it included automated shop floor data capture and electronic work instruction distribution. Integrations were implemented with SAP for MRP to support materials availability and planning, with P2P purchasing processes to coordinate procurement flows, and with EPDM for product data and configuration control as part of the site Common Operating SystemCOS rollout. Operational coverage targeted the Marion Massachusetts site and multiple production lines, and the solution interfaced with warehouse, shipping and receiving, and materials management processes used by materials and planning teams. Governance and rollout followed Lockheed Martin Common Operating System standards, with designated subject matter experts embedded to manage change and ensure compliance with Material Management and Accounting System MMAS. The rollout emphasis was on ensuring seamless changeover of multiple production lines without impacting customer deliveries, and on embedding MES workflows into existing materials planning and expediting processes. | |
