MicroMetl | Manufacturing | 300 | $50M | United States | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | 2020 | HSO | In 2020 MicroMetl implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial system, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX and establishing a cloud-first platform to standardize finance and operations processes. HSO served as the implementation partner and executed the program alongside parallel projects for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and a Data and Analytics strategy driven by HSO's DnA Framework for Microsoft Azure, Fabric and Synapse. The implementation focused on core finance and operations modules, including general ledger and financial management, accounts payable and receivable, inventory management, and manufacturing operations functionality appropriate to a mid-sized manufacturing company. Configuration work emphasized role-based security, transactional workflow automation, and integration-ready data models to support shop floor and procurement processes as part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment. Integrations were explicit and central to the program, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations connected to Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement to unify customer, sales and order workflows for order-to-cash and service coordination. The solution also streamed operational data into Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Synapse via Microsoft Fabric using HSO's DnA Framework, enabling consolidated reporting and near real-time analytics across finance, operations and sales functions. Governance was aligned to a cross-functional steering structure led by HSO and MicroMetl stakeholders, with data governance and pipeline standards established through the DnA Framework. Rollout sequencing prioritized core financial close and inventory control processes first, followed by manufacturing execution and CRM integration, supported by change management activities for finance, operations and sales teams. The combined program delivered on the stated objectives of enabling real-time data-driven decision making, enhancing customer experience through tighter ERP to CRM integration, and creating a platform for future innovation using Azure, Fabric and Synapse. These outcomes were achieved within the scope of an HSO-led implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as MicroMetl's ERP Financial backbone. | |
