Casas Pernambucanas | Retail | 14000 | $3.5B | Brazil | Oracle | Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting | Demand Forecasting and Planning | 2014 | n/a | In 2014 Casas Pernambucanas implemented Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting within its Demand Forecasting and Planning portfolio. Implementation support centered on the Oracle ERP module RDF Retail Demand Forecasting to establish a statistical forecast foundation for merchandising and supply chain planning. The deployment targeted centralized demand planning processes across merchandising and supply chain functions. Configuration work emphasized SKU level hierarchy setup, time series and seasonal model configuration, promotion and event profiling, and automated model selection and recalibration workflows. Functional capabilities implemented included forecast generation, exception management, profile based seasonality, and forecast consumption for assortment and replenishment planning. The Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting application was configured to run scheduled forecast batches and to support collaborative review and manual adjustments by planners. Architecture was implemented as an Oracle ERP module embedded in the retailer operational stack, with forecast outputs structured for downstream consumption by merchandising and replenishment processes. Governance and process changes introduced a forecasting calendar, model ownership controls, and reconciliation workflows to align demand planners and merchandising teams. Operational rollout and ongoing ownership were placed with the demand planning and merchandising departments. | |
