Energy Transfer LP Oil, Gas and Chemicals 16248 $82.7B United States ION Investment Group Openlink Rightangle CTRM 2020 n/a In 2020, Energy Transfer LP deployed Openlink RightAngle as its CTRM platform to support enterprise commodity trading and risk management workflows. The Openlink RightAngle implementation was positioned for 24x7 operational availability and managed alongside the companys SAP HANA estate to provide unified trade capture and position visibility across the organization. Openlink RightAngle was configured to deliver core CTRM capabilities including trade capture, position management, mark-to-market and risk analytics, deal lifecycle processing, and settlement workflows. Configuration work emphasized standard CTRM functional taxonomy and process mappings to downstream finance and operations workflows to ensure trade data consistency and auditable deal lifecycle records. The deployment architecture integrated Openlink RightAngle with Energy Transfers SAP landscape, notably S4HANA and BW4HANA components, and with content and tax systems referenced as OpenText and OneSource. Infrastructure responsibilities were coordinated with the SAP Basis team, which designed backup and disaster recovery for SAP, RA and associated data, and maintained design documentation aligned with Infrastructure, Network and Security groups. Governance and operationalization were led by the Manager IT SAP Basis function, which established installation, configuration and runbook processes, supervised Basis administrators, planned after-hours support, and served as the internal escalation point for complex technical issues. The role also covered talent development, vendor relationship management, and cross-team decision making to sustain the Openlink RightAngle CTRM service for trading, risk, operations and finance stakeholders.
