Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose | Manufacturing | 120 | $20M | United States | Infor | Infor Factory Track | Manufacturing Automation | 2023 | n/a | In 2023, Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose implemented Infor Factory Track as part of a multi-tenant Infor CloudSuite deployment that serves as the core platform for its mill-based businesses. The implementation sits within a Manufacturing Automation context and was executed alongside Infor M3 ERP, Supply Chain Planning, Enterprise Performance Management and Yard Management in a phased rollout covering the Cellulose business and supporting international offices and headquarters functions. The Infor Factory Track deployment includes factory floor data capture and shop floor execution capabilities typical of Manufacturing Automation, integrated with order management, customer service, supply chain and accounting workflows managed on the M3 core. Infor Factory Track is deployed to interface with edge applications for operational visibility, and the solution was configured to support continuous pulp mill operations, including four large mills operating 24/7, while preserving scheduled production. Integrations are explicitly structured around the multi-tenant Infor M3 ERP and the included Infor CloudSuite modules, providing end-to-end process continuity from order capture through fulfillment and yard operations. The deployment scope extended to international offices in Switzerland, Uruguay and China, the Atlanta headquarters, and a network of 24 international and 33 domestic external warehouses, enabling consistent data flows for customers in more than 90 countries. Governance focused on consolidating disparate applications, aligning processes and establishing centralized centers of excellence, and the rollout enabled retirement of more than 90 percent of the legacy applications previously in use. The company expects the combined CloudSuite and Infor Factory Track implementation to deliver a single source of truth for analytics, an enhanced customer experience via a web-enabled partner portal with sales, services and marketing automation and e-commerce capabilities, and reduced infrastructure complexity through the multi-tenant cloud model. | |
