Aquestive Therapeutics, formerly MonoSol Rx | Life Sciences | 135 | $51M | United States | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics GP - Inventory Management | Inventory Management | 2016 | n/a | In 2016, Aquestive Therapeutics implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP - Inventory Management as its Inventory Management application at the Portage, Indiana manufacturing site. The deployment was enacted as a site level inventory program to provide structured inventory control for Plant Scheduler, Inventory and Materials Manager, Supply Chain Specialist, and Warehouse Supervisor roles. The Microsoft Dynamics GP - Inventory Management implementation provided the foundation for operational inventory workflows across goods receipt, putaway, picking, and stock transactions. Configuration work included core inventory control and lot and batch management aligned to pharmaceutical handling requirements, and warehouse transaction handling to support daily materials flow. The electronic inventory management program referenced as Great Plains was delivered in parallel with an electronic procurement rollout named Workplace, and the implementation was coordinated to align procurement events with inventory receipt and consumption processes. Process and governance changes accompanied the technical deployment, the Head of Supply Chain from 2016 to 2019 led development and implementation of a Sales and Operations Planning process, a Supplier Quality Management Upgrade program, and a strategic sourcing program to institutionalize inventory governance. Operational responsibilities also encompassed alliance management with external partners, contract negotiation, order fulfillment oversight, and initiation of scope of work contracts to formalize supplier relationships. The Microsoft Dynamics GP - Inventory Management implementation thus served as a control layer within Aquestive Therapeutics Inventory Management landscape, supporting site level materials management and linking inventory practices to procurement and supplier quality initiatives. | |
