Broekman Logistics Transportation 850 $215M Netherlands E2open E2open (ex BluJay TMS) Transportation Management 2016 n/a In 2016, Broekman Logistics implemented E2open (ex BluJay TMS) for Transportation Management to unify warehouse operations, customs processing, and multi modal transport management. The deployment targeted Broekman Logistics headquarters in Rotterdam and its distributed warehouse and transport network across the Netherlands, the Benelux countries, Central Europe, and Asia, reflecting a single platform strategy for transshipment, storage, and distribution services. The implementation began with a combined storage and customs processing module and was expanded to cover multi modal transport by air, rail, road, and sea. Functional capabilities include real time monitoring of goods in warehouses and on transport routes, comprehensive reporting and revenue overviews, customs management that supports data exchange in almost any format, and user defined workflow configuration to create an unlimited number of customer specific services. E2open (ex BluJay TMS) was integrated to exchange data and documents across harbor communication systems, e commerce platforms, customers transport partners, and customs authorities, enabling direct connections to customers ERP systems and external supply chain actors. RFI technologies were incorporated into warehouse operations to record inventory location in real time and to reduce manual order handling, while the platform also supports scanning based warehouse execution and automated customs declarations. Governance changes focused on standardizing workflows and automating inspection, classification, and logging of incoming goods so deviations can be checked changed, and recorded centrally. Reported business outcomes in the case study include greater transparency through RFI integration, increased flexibility to meet changing customer packing and capacity needs, faster order processing due to reduced manual input, and an expanded suite of logistics services enabled by the Transportation Management platform.
