Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Distribution 6500 $10.8B United States ReposiTrak ReposiTrak Scan-based Trading Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2019 n/a In 2019, Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. launched a cooperative-wide program using ReposiTrak Scan-based Trading to provide member retailers and DSD suppliers with point-of-sale visibility. The deployment is positioned within the Advanced Planning and Scheduling category and focused on supply chain and inventory management across the AWG cooperative. The implementation centered on network enrollment and supplier POS data sharing capabilities, with ReposiTrak Scan-based Trading configured to collect and normalize POS transaction feeds from participating member stores and direct store delivery suppliers. Functional modules inferred from the engagement include supplier onboarding and enrollment, POS data ingestion and normalization, and collaborative inventory reconciliation workflows to reduce out-of-stocks and accelerate supplier check-in processes. Operational coverage extended cooperative-wide across thousands of AWG member stores in the United States, and the application was used by both member retail operations and DSD supplier trading teams. Integrations were structured to accept member and supplier POS system feeds and to feed operational workflows for back-door check-in and inventory adjustments, enabling nearer-real-time visibility for replenishment planning and cash conversion management. Governance and rollout emphasized supplier enrollment and data sharing agreements, with process changes to inventory reconciliation and supplier collaboration workflows to operationalize POS-driven settlement and stocking decisions. Outcomes communicated by AWG included reduced out-of-stocks, faster back-door check-in labor, and freeing up working capital for members and suppliers through the ReposiTrak Scan-based Trading program.
