Hologic | Life Sciences | 7063 | $4.0B | United States | Oracle | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | 2012 |
In 2012 Hologic upgraded to Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The company deployed Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 into a single global instance using a big bang upgrade approach and completed the program in less than six months from initial planning to go-live.
Hologic expanded functional coverage within Oracle E-Business Suite, implementing modules that include Oracle Financials, Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Shipping Execution, Oracle Purchasing and procurement capabilities, Oracle iSupplier Portal, Oracle Service and Oracle Quality, alongside human capital modules such as Oracle Human Resources, Oracle Learning Management and Oracle iRecruitment. The project also added Oracle Performance Management and ran a simultaneous upgrade of Agile applications to enable stronger subledger accounting controls and simplified order management workflows.
The implementation covered operations across more than 10 countries and dozens of sites, serving more than 1,000 regular business users, 100 to 150 super users across five lines of business, and several thousand occasional self-service users. Hologic worked with Oracle Consulting and implementation partners Data Intensity and Apps Associates, and with managed service providers, to develop technical integration points, perform regression testing, and localize statutory requirements in markets such as Italy, Spain and France.
Governance was led by an executive steering committee and a 100-person global core team with senior management representation from HR, order administration, contract administration, service, manufacturing supply chain, quality, shipping and distribution, and accounting and finance, supported by IT analysts and consultants and coordinated through weekly communications and town-hall updates under a no surprises, no delays approach. After the upgrade Hologic reported improved usability and functionality from Oracle E-Business Suite and the shared services accounting center achieved a five-day global account close two months after go-live.

Incentive Concepts | Professional Services | 60 | $6M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud Infrastructure | Application Hosting and Computing Services | 2020 |
In 2020, Incentive Concepts upgraded its core enterprise resource planning environment by running Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The move addressed an unsupported EBS 11.2 instance and an on-premise server that had reached end of life, while preserving the company’s long standing Oracle ERP footprint that served as its central system of record for financials, inventory, order tracking and procurement.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure was provisioned as the company’s Application Hosting and Computing Services platform to host Oracle E-Business Suite and associated capabilities. The deployment consolidated Financial management, Order management, Purchasing, Warehousing and Data Visualization and reporting into a cloud-hosted EBS environment, delivering a unified application stack and the operational controls typical of an enterprise ERP hosted on OCI.
Data Intensity served as the implementation partner, supplying Oracle expertise, building migration and upgrade proposals, and helping secure executive approval for the project. The partner supported the upgrade and cloud migration process, coordinating technical planning and articulation of business rationale to leadership while the Incentive Concepts IT team validated fit with existing workflows.
Governance focused on meeting vendor security requirements and improving overall system performance and reliability, enabling Incentive Concepts to scale operations and better work with larger brands, vendors and new clients. The company reported that staying with Oracle offered cost advantages, noting that moving to another platform would probably have cost twice as much, and the OCI-hosted Oracle E-Business Suite is now positioned to support continued growth and compliance needs.

Incentive Concepts | Professional Services | 60 | $6M | United States | Oracle | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | 2020 |
In 2020, Incentive Concepts upgraded Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial application to run in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, preserving the platform as the company’s central system of record while addressing end of life on-premise infrastructure and an unsupported 11.2 release. For more than a decade Oracle E-Business Suite automated and managed the company’s financials, inventory, order tracking, procurement and other core business functions, and the implementation decision was driven by the need to scale to thousands of customers and hundreds of vendors while meeting evolving vendor security requirements.
The project was executed as an upgrade and cloud migration to Oracle E-Business Suite running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, retaining functional continuity while modernizing deployment architecture. Implemented modules included financial management, order management, purchasing and warehousing, with data visualization and reporting layered to restore system-of-record reporting and operational analytics. The cloud deployment was selected to provide stronger security controls, improved performance and a scalable execution environment consistent with ERP Financial operational needs.
Data Intensity served as the systems integrator, delivering Oracle expertise, architecture proposals and executive-level justification to greenlight the program, and managing the technical upgrade and migration activities. The IT organization augmented the effort with database administration, development and contractor resources during the transition, while Data Intensity translated business requirements into a phased migration and configuration plan to limit operational disruption.
As implemented, Oracle E-Business Suite running in Oracle Cloud enabled Incentive Concepts to modernize and scale financial, order and procurement processes, meet vendor security and compliance expectations, and improve overall system performance. The company also cited cost advantages from remaining on the Oracle platform compared to alternative ERP vendors, and the cloud migration was positioned as a necessary step to sustain growth and vendor partnerships.
