Sunshine Private Hospital Healthcare 50 $8M Australia UKG UKG Ready Learning Learning and Development 2022 n/a In 2022, Sunshine Private Hospital implemented UKG Ready Learning as part of a full UKG Ready suite deployment to provision Learning and Development alongside workforce management and HRIS. The greenfield hospital in Melbourne’s western heartland selected the solution to avoid manual rostering and onboarding processes during initial staff intake and to establish consistent compliance and training workflows from day one. The implementation encompassed a broad set of UKG Ready modules, explicitly including Time & Attendance, Scheduler and Rostering, Accruals and Leave, Attestation, Core HR, Recruitment, Performance Management, Compensation Management, and Learning. UKG Ready Learning was configured to support structured onboarding programs and ongoing staff education, aligning course assignments and attestations with rostered shifts and leave balances. Configuration work emphasized employee self-service for learning tasks and progress tracking, coupled with automated status updates into HR records. Architecturally the deployment unified workforce management and human capital management within a single UKG Ready environment, creating internal integrations between time capture, roster data, HR profiles and learning records. Operational endpoints included UKG TouchFree ID clocks for physical time capture and employee mobile devices for roster review, clocking, leave requests and access to learning content, reducing manual data entry into payroll and rostering systems. The integrated topology addressed error-prone handoffs between rostering, payroll and compliance training workflows. Governance and rollout focused on establishing repeatable processes and training for People and Culture teams, supported by proactive UKG implementation engagement. Outcomes reported by Sunshine Private Hospital include replacement of manual processes with automated workflows that minimize human error, improved employee engagement through mobile learning and time capture, and a reduction in payroll correction queries. Unitas Healthcare retains a scalable UKG Ready Learning deployment that can grow with future staffing and operational expansion.
