Fowler Welch | Distribution | 1300 | $450M | United Kingdom | Manhattan Associates | Manhattan Active Inventory | Inventory Management | 2018 | n/a | In 2018, Fowler Welch implemented Manhattan Active Inventory. The deployment positioned Manhattan Active Inventory within Fowler Welch's Inventory Management operations, with documented use by the Stock Controller at the Spalding site to support day to day inventory control and stock lifecycle management. The implementation centers on core inventory control and location management capabilities, including creation of stock profiles, logging and tracking stock locations, and orchestrating distribution activities. Reporting and analytics functions were configured to produce operational reports and KPI sheets, enabling routine audits and daily area checks. The system supports FIFO handling rules and a workflow for identifying exceptions through POOR reports, with procedural steps defined for corrective actions. Operational scope covers inventory, logistics and warehouse functions at the Spalding site, with the Stock Controller liaising with staff, customers and suppliers to maintain accurate product inventory records. Governance includes scheduled audits, ongoing KPI monitoring, and a process where POOR reports feed into corrective action workflows to preserve stock integrity. Manhattan Active Inventory is therefore serving as the primary Inventory Management application for Fowler Welch's stock control activities.

Fowler Welch | Distribution | 1300 | $450M | United Kingdom | Isotrak | Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management | Fleet Management | 2018 | n/a | In 2018 Fowler Welch deployed Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management to support transport operations at its Rochdale depot, using the Fleet Management application for vehicle tracking and delivery monitoring. The deployment became operational in night transport administration and driver coordination roles beginning in May 2018, where it was incorporated into daily transport office workflows. Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management was used for live vehicle tracking, delivery status monitoring, checking running times and schedules, and supporting the creation and printing of delivery notes. Functional usage reported by transport staff included tracking deliveries with Isotrak, coordinating drivers face to face and by phone at the counter, and managing depot communications related to delivery exceptions. The Isotrak implementation was operated alongside Microlise, ESP, and Microsoft tools, with staff using Isotrak and Microlise for tracking activities while ESP and Microsoft were used for running time and schedule checks. Operational coverage included the Rochdale transport office and inter-depot email and phone communications, tying driver-facing workflows to dispatch and scheduling processes. Following the organizational change in September 2020 after acquisition by Great Bear Culina, staffing levels and roles were adjusted and transport administrators shifted into combined transport and warehouse duties, while continuing to provide ad hoc cover for transport office tasks. Governance implications centered on cross-functional role coverage and maintaining Isotrak ATMSi Fleet Management as a core operational system for transport and depot coordination during the staffing transition.
