The implementation delivered discrete functional modules for reservation management, transport scheduling and confirmation, workshop work overviews including scheduled repairs and preparations, sponsorship contract management, and automated monthly cost calculation per customer. The Car Park application was built in SAPUI5 on SAP Business Technology Platform and designed as a fully responsive web application to support desktop, laptop and mobile devices. Role based authorization was configured to differentiate actions for managers, coordinators, workshop staff and parking operators, with authorizations scoped per car park and per brand. Architecturally the application runs on SAP Business Technology Platform and uses single sign on through Active Directory Federated Services for Windows credential based access. Interfacing with Astara’s SAP CRM system for vehicle master and detail imports was implemented via SAP Cloud Connector. Texting and emailing capabilities leverage third party webservices identified in the solution brief as MailChimp, and the transporter workflow is integrated into the application so external transport providers receive and confirm transport orders directly inside the system. Governance and operational process changes were formalized around integrated scheduling and notification workflows, including nightly SMS reminders to renters on the eve of reservations and daily pushed emails to car park managers about upcoming activity. Authorization profiles and process flows were aligned to support multiple car parks per brand and per country, enabling just in time preparation and transport orchestration across involved parties. Amista coordinated the technical configuration and orchestration of SSO, cloud connector integration and third party messaging services as part of the rollout. Explicit business outcomes documented in the solution brief include full visibility on each vehicles characteristics, calendar and status for coordinators and operations, direct and confirmed communication with the external transporter, automated monthly cost calculations for customers, and parking lot location follow up. The customer reported errors reduced significantly, speed and efficiency of reservations increased drastically, cost effective centralization of reservations across multiple brands, a user friendly fully responsive application with high user adoption, and increased customer satisfaction and transparent communication. | |
