Bien Dong Petroleum Oil, Gas and Chemicals 1500 $250M Vietnam IBM IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management 2015 In 2015 Bien Dong Petroleum implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to consolidate asset control across onshore offices, a supply base and offshore facilities. BDPOC engaged IBM Premier Business Partner Avenue Business Solutions to architect and deliver the implementation using IBM Maximo software running on an IBM System x server platform. The implementation used IBM Maximo Asset Management to manage inventory, maintenance tasks, procurement activities and invoicing, aligning core functional workflows typical of Enterprise Asset Management. The deployment included the MaxiSun interface to link Maximo to the client Sun financial system, enabling procurement and invoicing workflows to be visible within financial processes and improving the user experience for administrators and end users. Architecturally the solution was provisioned on five IBM System x3650 M4 servers running a Linux operating system, with three onshore servers dedicated to the Oracle Database, application system, and development and testing environments. A fourth onshore server hosted the MaxiSun integration layer developed with a business partner to synchronize Maximo and the Sun financial system, while a fifth server was configured as the offshore environment running the offshore database and application instances. Avenue Business Solutions implemented data synchronization between onshore and offshore servers and provided implementation, maintenance, Maximo training for core teams and administrators, and three months of post go live support. Operational scope included BDPOC headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vung Tau supply base and offshore sites, with business functions impacted spanning maintenance, procurement, inventory management and finance invoicing. Reported outcomes from the engagement included full maintenance lifecycle control, optimized vendor inventory and equipment resource management, centralized procurement and enhanced budget control, together with improved data accuracy for managers and a better user experience.
Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company Oil, Gas and Chemicals 700 $120M Vietnam IBM IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management 2015 In 2015, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company implemented IBM Maximo as part of an Enterprise Asset Management program at the Dung Quat refinery to manage thousands of equipment records, repair history, maintenance costs and asset performance indicators. The deployment targeted plantwide maintenance and operational visibility, with explicit requirements to align with international enterprise asset management standards and to support continuous maintenance activities and supply chain processes. Avenue Business Solutions Joint Stock Company implemented a suite of IBM Maximo components including IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.5, IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas V7.5, IBM Maximo Adapter for Primavera V7.5 and IBM Maximo Mobile Inventory Manager. The implementation used the three primary modules of asset management, work management and inventory management, and configured an organized asset catalog with hierarchical specifications, automated preventive maintenance and inspection scheduling to enforce the company maintenance philosophy. Integrations and operational coverage centered on project and work order planning through IBM Maximo Adapter for Primavera, enabling export and modification of maintenance plans for project coordination. Supply chain and vendor performance management capabilities were instrumented within Maximo for Oil and Gas to link procurement and inventory flows to maintenance work orders, and Maximo Mobile Inventory Manager was used to perform physical inventory counts across sites and storerooms. Governance and workflow restructuring delivered advanced workflow functionality to visualize business flows along with approval, delegation and escalation paths, supporting standardized maintenance strategies across departments. The rollout focused on unifying work management processes, inventory and procurement workflows to ensure 24 by 7 support for maintenance operations and to centralize equipment lifecycle procedures. As implemented by Avenue Business Solutions, IBM Maximo provided streamlined and integrated work processes for maintenance repair and supply chain coordination, an organized asset catalog with detailed hierarchy and specifications, standard and advanced inventory management functionality, and configurable KPIs to visualize asset performance, work productivity, resource utilization and supply and demand capabilities.
PetroVietnam Power Utilities 2065 $1.1B Vietnam IBM IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management 2015 In 2015, PetroVietnam Power expanded IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to consolidate asset, work and procurement processes across its Hanoi based headquarters and three power plants. Avenue Business Solutions Joint Stock Company served as the implementation partner, deploying Maximo Asset Management version 7.1 on Websphere Server and provisioning an additional 73 user licenses plus 04 Maximo Inventory Mobile licenses to extend existing plant deployments. The implementation covered core Enterprise Asset Management modules, including Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory Management, Purchasing Management and Contract Management. The project included re-engineering Work Management processes at Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2 plants, designing Work Management for Nhon Trach 1, and creating a standardized Procurement process that spans Headquarter, Ca Mau 1, Ca Mau 2 and Nhon Trach 1, with mobile inventory capabilities for field and warehouse staff. Architecturally the solution was an on-premises Maximo Asset Management System 7.1 instance running on Websphere Server, integrated with the corporate financial system SAP B1 for cost planning and administration of maintenance and procurement costs. Operational coverage extended across operations and maintenance, procurement, warehouse and contract administration functions at the three plant sites and the corporate office, enabling lifecycle visibility for technical specifications, equipment history, spare parts and inventory conditions. Governance changes focused on process standardization and workflow orchestration in Maximo, formalizing purchase request transmittal, approval flows and material allocation between sites. As implemented, PetroVietnam Power achieved greater automation in Work Management, Inventory Management and Procurement, the Headquarter reported improved transparency of Procurement processes and materially reduced the time required to process Purchase Requests that previously relied on paper transmittal between geographically separated plants.
