Arco | Distribution | 1500 | $388M | United Kingdom | SAP | SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) | eCommerce | 2019 |
In 2019 Arco implemented SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) for eCommerce. The implementation was delivered with SI Gauri, who demonstrated Hybris Cloud for Customer capabilities and aligned phased delivery with Arco’s broader digital program to remove execution risk.
The deployment centered on SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) core commerce capabilities and configuration-first approaches to preserve upgradeability and stability. Functional scope included customer facing commerce capabilities and sales enablement workflows consistent with eCommerce platforms, with design provisions made to address future requirement possibilities.
Integrations were realized using the platform’s out of the box integration capabilities, establishing connectivity with Arco’s ERP, on-premise CRM, Hybris Commerce components and analytics and C4C Sales for order, customer and sales data flows. The architecture prioritized a cloud commerce front end connected to on-premise back-office systems to leverage existing investments while enabling commerce orchestration.
Gauri helped Arco design a roadmap to achieve a clean end state, coordinating all phases to be in sync with planned outcomes and minimizing technical debt. The program explicitly targeted low TCO and more mature functionality to improve system stability while ensuring governance and rollout sequencing supported future extensibility.
