In 2020, Chelsea Pensioners installed Hikvision MinMoe Terminals as a Time Clock (Hardware) deployment to provide touch free access control across the Grade I listed Royal Hospital Chelsea site. The installation used 23 Hikvision MinMoe Terminals positioned to control residents’ berths and the on site infirmary, enabling biometric face recognition authentication for resident access.
The Hikvision MinMoe Terminals were configured as touch free biometric access points to remove the need for keys or PINs and to support badgeless entry workflows. Functional capabilities implemented included face recognition authentication, event logging, and door release control consistent with Time Clock (Hardware) devices used for physical access control.
ITS Fire & Security led the design and installation with CBRE and Hikvision involvement, delivering a physical access control and site security deployment in the United Kingdom. The project scope focused on securing resident accommodation and healthcare access points within the constrained environment of a listed heritage site, requiring coordinated design and installation planning.
The deployment improved resident convenience and site safety by enabling touch free authentication at sensitive access points and eliminating key or PIN management for residents, outcomes documented in the project case summary.
