In 2024, Colonial First State implemented zCloud, an Application Hosting and Computing Services platform, to host its Fund Management System and related workloads with Kyndryl as the implementation partner. The initiative was executed to separate CFS core business systems from its parent entity and to centralize fund management operations into a managed mainframe as a service delivery model.
The technical implementation moved approximately 35TiB of data into zCloud following proof of concept work, dress rehearsals and the production cutover, with three successful rehearsals and a go live reported with zero incidents. Kyndryl supplemented CFS technical capability through targeted activities in networking, certificate management, Resource Access Control Facility governance and desktop configuration, delivered via Project Change Requests to prepare systems for cutover and a hyper care phase with minimal incidents.
Deployment architecture included Kyndryl’s managed data centre environment and Kyndryl Cloud eXchange as the managed network layer, enabling high performance connectivity and rapid provisioning. The KCX delivery provided scalable, secure network connectivity including links to AWS and Microsoft Azure, and the engagement used consumption based zCloud and KCX offerings to allow CFS to scale services up or down as needed.
Operational workstreams encompassed data sanitization and storage catalog cleanup, removing approximately 900,000 orphaned entries and identifying and eliminating unused software components during the copy and cutover. The program also initiated Kyndryl Bridge as an AI enabled operational platform for continuous improvement, and documented risk mitigation activities including handling a CrowdStrike outage during migration. Colonial First State zCloud Application Hosting and Computing Services now underpins Fund Management System operations, with governance changes, rehearsal driven cutover procedures and a framework for ongoing optimization.

In 2024, CreditAccess Grameen implemented Temenos Infinity as its Digital Banking platform to digitize loan processing and loan administration across its microfinance network. The deployment targeted the companys field-centric operations that span 1967 branches in 383 districts across 16 states and one union territory, supporting thousands of loan officers and a borrower base concentrated in rural communities.
Temenos Infinity was configured with core platform modules to define and automate digital loan processing workflows, emphasizing digital loan origination, workflow automation, mobile-enabled data capture, and ongoing loan administration consistent with Digital Banking functional patterns. The implementation emphasized end-to-end digitization of loan administration tasks to replace manual workflows and to standardize credit lifecycle activities for group-based, pledge-secured microloans.
Kyndryl partnered with CreditAccess Grameen in a single, integrated operations and delivery team responsible for sizing and managing virtual infrastructure that can expand and contract with workload thresholds. The technical architecture included a 10 Gbps network upgrade to handle application data flows, an enterprise service bus to integrate mobile device traffic across the companys wireless network, and a disaster recovery design that can automatically shift production between a Kyndryl datacenter and another provider datacenter in southern India to preserve operational resiliency.
Operational governance centered on the joint CA Grameen and Kyndryl team to manage run operations, support, and the rollout of digital workflows to branch and field staff. CreditAccess Grameen CEO Ganesh Narayanan noted that Kyndryls long-term support is key for the companys current growth and future plans, reflecting governance alignment between vendor-managed infrastructure operations and business-led process transformation.
