In 2019 Ambu implemented Dynamicweb PIM as part of a global eCommerce and CMS redesign to centralize product information and support complex medical device product cards across local country sites in Denmark and other markets. The implementation addressed Product Information Management needs for catalog consistency, multilingual content, and editorial control for medical device product pages.
The Dynamicweb PIM deployment was configured as a single source of truth for roughly 300 products across 10 languages, with a centralized product data model, multilingual taxonomy and structured product card templates to handle complex regulatory and specification content. The project emphasized editorial workflows and content enrichment capabilities to enable local editors to prepare market specific product pages while maintaining global data consistency.
Integration work focused on connecting the PIM to the wider eCommerce and CMS landscape as part of the global redesign, enabling feed and publish workflows from the PIM into regional sites. Implementation partner Twoday led configuration and rollout activities, aligning the PIM with marketing, eCommerce and local content teams across the operational footprint.
Ambu used Dynamicweb PIM to standardize governance around product information and to streamline local editor processes, which supported measurable commercial outcomes reported by the implementation partner, including more leads and a reported 46 percent increase in traffic. The Dynamicweb PIM implementation therefore linked Product Information Management to site content operations and marketing workflows across Ambu’s country sites.
